Connection

There are two methods you can use to establish a connection between LABEL DESIGN MAKER and the LABEL PRINTER: connection using a USB cable and connection using a Wireless LAN.

To connect using a USB cable (KL-P350W)

  1. Use a USB cable to connect the LABEL PRINTER to the computer.

To connect using a USB cable (KL-G2)

  1. Install the printer driver.
    Download the printer driver here.
    * The printer driver does not support Mac operation.
  2. Use a USB cable to connect the LABEL PRINTER to your computer.
    For the procedure, refer to your LABEL PRINTER User's Guide.

Connection Over a Wireless LAN (Client Mode) (KL-P350W)

Connect the printer as a client over a wireless LAN environment.
Connect with a computer via your wireless LAN router or wireless LAN access point.

  1. On the printer, hold down the Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) selector key Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi)for at least three seconds and then release it.
    The printer will enter WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) standby and the Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) lamp will flash green twice at high speed.
  2. Within about two minutes, press the WPS button on the wireless LAN router/access point to put it in WPS standby mode.
    (Refer to the instruction manual for the wireless LAN router/access point for more information on using the WPS button, etc.)
  3. The printer's Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) indicator lamp will light green when connection is complete.

* To configure settings other than those described above, click Wireless LAN settings on the LABEL DESIGN MAKER Settings menu. Next, follow the instructions that appear on the display.

Connection Over a Wireless LAN (Access Point Mode) (KL-P350W)

Connect the printer and computer device directly over a wireless LAN.
The printer operates as an access point, so it can be used even if there is no wireless LAN environment. You can connect using initial default settings.

  1. Press the printer power key to turn on power.
  2. Press the printer Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) key (Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi)) to turn on Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi).
    This will cause the Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) indicator lamp to flash green at high speed.
  3. Connect the printer on the computer as a wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) access point.
    KL-P350W SSID (initial default): CASIO KLPC18 AP
  4. The printer's Wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) indicator lamp will light green when connection is complete.

* Data exchange (mail send and receive, etc.) is not possible during Access Point Mode connection. Client Mode connection is recommended.

* You can change wireless LAN settings as required. Perform the following LABEL DESIGN MAKER operation: [Settings] - [Wireless LAN Settings] - [Access point connect]
